What do you hope to gain?
– Fuller recovery through a Catholic lens
What are you struggling with?
– Quick-tempered wrath is my predominant fault/character defect. My wife and I are extremely similar per our DISC assessment (both very high D and I), birth order (first born), and temperaments (both sanguine). Thus, we have a high-conflict marriage, but we are very committed to each other and are deeply in love. We’re great at parties : )
– ADHD diagnosis, with intermittent major depressive episodes

Whit SmithParticipantI am looking for a sponsor who is an orthodox Catholic male. I have 14 years of continuous sobriety, but have had a very hard time finding a permanent sponsor over this time period due to deep seated value disagreements in the broader AA community.

Whit SmithParticipantI attend AA meetings around once every two weeks still. I sought out CIR because I was getting a lot of flak in AA for being a faithful Catholic and since my conversion have not felt totally comfortable sharing in AA meetings through the lens of my faith.
