Today’s Gospel reading is a powerful reminder about our need for faith and trust in Jesus. Abandoning our self-will and placing our trust in God was and is a process. Faith in the effectiveness of 12-step recovery is often first manifested to us by our fellow AA members who share their experience, strength, and hope and are visible “miracles” of the power of the program. As our sobriety progresses and matures, our faith increases and evolves into a sincere belief that not only can others get sober in AA but we can as well. It’s by “acting as if” that we can find hope and strength in navigating the seas of life and remembering that Jesus is always with us.

- Are there any challenges in your life that can be turned over to God? What might “acting as if” God has already answered your prayers according to His will look like today?
