“‘On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.’” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. He said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the holy Spirit.’”—John 20:19–22
PRAY
Prayer from The Twelve Steps and the Sacraments
Lord,
Thank you for the moments
that have brought me to this place in my journey.
As I struggle to overcome the insanity, which can be overwhelming,
I place my faith in you as my Higher Power.
I ask for your protection and care as I take this step toward new life.
Great are the plans that you hold for me,
and I begin to grow in willingness to see those plans unfold.
Amen.
