When King David recovered the ark of the covenant, he was so overjoyed he took off his clothes and danced like a fool in front of the Lord. While I’m not sure this is an invitation to us to take our clothes off and dance, I do read it as a message for us to delight in God’s faithfulness toward us. We will forget the Lord’s faithfulness and make mistakes since we are human but, as Saint John Vianney reminds us, “Our faults are like a grain of sand beside the great mountain of the mercies of the good God.” Therefore, let us always remember His goodness and “sing joyfully to the Lord.”

- What are some steps you can take right now to acknowledge the growth you have made in your recovery? What are some things you can do right now to give thanks to God for this growth?
