The importance of companionship when sharing the message of recovery with others should resonate with us. We need the support of others when working to bring freedom and healing to our neighbors. Step Twelve’s invitation to extend a helping hand to others with empathy, humility, and shared purpose is more effective when undertaken with a fellow traveler. As we embark on carrying the message of hope today and each day, let’s embrace the wisdom of the Twelve Steps, recognizing that the transformative power lies not just in the message but in the genuine connections forged on our path to recovery. By navigating this journey with others, we find strength and solace—and are better able to then offer these to others.
