Monday of the Thirty-third Week in Ordinary Time

All of us have spiritually—perhaps even physically—been in that place where the blind man sat when we were lost to our addiction, compulsion, or unhealthy attachment. However, today we are reminded of where we can turn whenever we feel lost in our spiritual poverty and blindness—toward Jesus. Whether we are still in the midst of our addictions or struggling to maintain our recovery and grow in holiness, we can always turn with faith to the one who can and does heal us.

Reflection Questions

  • Is there an area in your life that you need Jesus to heal? How can you turn toward Him today for that healing?
  • What spiritual practices do you regularly take part in to strengthen and keep strong your faith in Jesus?
