Our testimonies are power-filled. The word testimony in Hebrew means to do it again with the same power and the same authority as it was done initially. What that means is that the grace that God infused into our own story can be applied with the same power and authority to others. Sharing our testimonies sows faith and is the active ingredient to witnessing healing and miracles. Once we receive recovery, the natural progression is to pass it on. We become apostles like Mary Magdalene, screaming, “I have seen the Lord!” We can’t wait to share how God did for us what we could not do for ourselves. This is why our recovery program works; it’s why we see healing.
In sharing our experience, strength, and hope, we become apostles and prophets of recovery. Testimony is the spirit of prophecy. The very breath in the delivery of our testimonies creates Holy Spirit-charged atmospheres in our meetings. The age of miracles is still with us and our own recovery proves it.
