Tuesday of the Twenty-ninth Week in Ordinary Time

In today’s Gospel reading, we are told to prepare the way of the Lord. When the Lord knocks on the door of our hearts, we must be quick to answer for we don’t know when the call will come for our final journey through death. Yet, we can prepare for His arrival at the end of our lives by walking the narrow way of recovery, working diligently to maintain freedom from our addictions, compulsions, and unhealthy attachments, and taking it one day at a time.

Reflection Question

  • What steps can you take today to receive God’s grace?
  • How can you be more diligent as a “servant” awaiting the master’s return?
