In today’s Gospel reading, Jesus asks us to remain in His love in order to attain perfect joy. This joy comes only through deep faith and surrender to the Lord, and by keeping conscious contact with God through our savior Jesus Christ. Let us always reciprocate the love we have received from God through Jesus Christ by loving God and our neighbor as we continue on our recovery and faith journey. And in this way, our joy may be complete.
“As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete” (John 15:9-11).
